Champions For Change
Men who express their emotions in a healthy way are 4 times less likely to abuse women. As part of this year’s 16 Days of Activism campaign, Carling Black Label has partnered with men who share a passion for self-expression. Be it through soccer, art or community outreach.
#NOEXCUSE - BRIDE ARMOUR
A wedding dress by award-winning fashion designer Suzaan Heyns informed by conversations with abused women whose walk down the aisle has turned into a daily nightmare. Every stitch, layer, and seam demonstrating the brutality of intimate partner violence (IPV).
THE BRAVEST THING
The problem is that many people live in very small houses where a conversation or a phone call can be heard from anywhere in the house. This makes it very difficult for victims of abuse to call for help and also stops men who are ashamed of showing weakness from reaching out.
#NOEXCUSE - RENEWALL!
Taking inspiration from marriage vows, a moment when you least expect the acknowledgment of GBV to be uttered, we got men of varying relationship statuses (married, engaged, dating, single) to make a vow to their intimate partner and all women in general, to acknowledge GBV and make a commitment.
#NOEXCUSE - SOCCER SONGS OF CHANGE
